| Jatropha Micro Mission |
| Department of Biotechnology has undertaken a Mission to develop quality planting material of Jatropha curcas and develop agro technologies for its cultivation. |
| The objectives of the program are as below : |
- Selection of superior material based on established criteria- Oil content and yield.
- Production of superior quality material- Micro and macro-propagation.
- Nursery establishment
- Demonstration in identified areas.
- Standardizing agro technology packages.
- Samples of all collections would be sent to the centralized identified laboratory for oil estimation. A uniform pattern for oil collection will be adopted
